Re: 2001 ASAT
Assuming that it came that way from the factory, it is likely an employee built guitar. I will be reaching out to Dave to find out the history on it.Fumble fingers wrote:Craig , how did it get black hardware from the factory ??....... wish it was a option now on saddle lock guitars
Another possibility is that the tuners and bridge were swapped out by a previous owner.
There is one USA model which comes with a black Saddle-Lock bridge, the Superhawk Jerry Cantrell model.
Stay tuned.

Hi Craig,
The order describes it an ASAT Special Deluxe in black, rear contour, maple neck with tinted gloss finish, matching headstock, Graph-Tech nut, flamed neck ??. Yes, the "flamed neck??" is on the order. I guess it was a request that was passed to the factory, but since that wasn't an option I've no idea whether the neck has any flame or not. It doesn't say anything about black hardware or anything else.
The invoice on 2/6/02 to Performance Music Center in Woburn Massachusetts reads: ASAT SPECIAL DELUXE BLACK-MP-TGN-PH so the only thing I know with confidence is that it's an ASAT Special Deluxe, black, maple neck, tinted gloss finish, painted headstock.
I hope this is useful to the owner. Thanks, Craig.
Best to you,
Dave
