1997 S-500 Certificate of Authenticity

Post by quidprocrow »

Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I just purchased a 1997 S-500, kind of a gold burst, in wonderful condition, plays great. Serial number: G050789. Seller, not the original owner, says he bought the guitar from a guy whose father ordered it from custom creations with Lindy Fralin neck and middle pickups and Suhr bridge pickup. The configuration is correct. How can I verify that the pickups were factory installed and what is the latest procedure to get a duplicate COA? Thanks.

You can get a replacement COA from G&L's Customer Service.

FYI: The Custom Creations department did not exist when this guitar was built. If those pickups were installed by the G&L factory,
the dealer who placed the order would likely have supplied them to the factory. Another possibility is that the dealer installed them
before delivery to customer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Craig. I'm assuming there's no way to track down an order from dealer to the factory from 18 years ago? After reading a little more, I did email Mr. Robosan regarding a COA. Dave

You might ask Chris if he can get that information.
