ASAT premium Made in Japan?

Post by Bill Styler »

My G&L buddies sent me a link to an ebay listing. All three of us are stumped, none of us have ever heard of it and I can't find anything on glguitars.com about it. Anyone out there who can give us a clue?

I may never stop being clueless, even with others' help.

There was a time (I'm not sure the exact year range) when (I think) Pearl was licensed to build premium G&Ls in Japan. I have the link to the old Pearl Musical Instruments site for "G&L Japan" but it's no longer valid. Craig (the forum moderator) will no doubt be able to dig up the specifics.

Thanks, GDub. I got a note from one friend saying the on the bass forum similar info can be found. There seems to be a bu ch of basses and a few guitars on eBay being listed by a bass guitar shop located in Japan.
