How does the neck of the current Legacy Deluxe feels compared to the current American Standard/Deluxe? I know there's difference in radius, but how's the neck shape and the overall thickness? Which one feels thinner?
By the way, I'm not a shredder, but I like playing thrash metal riffs (although I am primarily not a metal guy). Legacy Deluxe has a neck radius of 12 while Fender has 9.5 - does that affect the feel of riffing where you constantly empty spaces between notes with palmmuted low E string (which is common in thrash metal)?
And Legacy Deluxe is made in the USA, right? This shop lists some of the guitars with "USA" in the title, some of them not, even though they are of similar prices:

Re: Legacy Deluxe vs American Standard/Deluxe Strat
I have two American Deluxe Strats, both circa 2006, with that eras Fender modern C neck. There is a distinct "shoulder" on both necks and neither are as full shaped as the G&L # 1 neck found on most Legacys.
Apart from the obvious difference in the fingerboard radius another important point to note is that the medium jumbo frets on the G&Ls are in fact larger than the medium jumbo frets on the Fenders. The fuller neck profile, flatter radius and larger frets do make the G&Ls feel a lot different to the Fenders.
I've never had any problem palm muting on my Legacys or S500s, the G&L bridge does sit above the guitar a little more than on a two point or six point Fender trem though.
