G&L Nut Options on ASAT Custom

Post by johnnyzcar »

Hello Everyone,
I have decided to place an order with the online guitar builder app. I was just wondering about the nut option for bone or Graphite.
My specific question is which Graphtec type is it? I notice on Graphtech's webpage they list TUSQ and NuBone. Just curious but I was leaning towards the standard bone nut.
If the G & L graphite nut would be better it's not much extra to get it, however if it isn't the better Graphtech type I would probably not be interested.

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks :D

The Graph-Tech nut G&L uses is the Black TUSQ XL. If you are considering a vibrato bridge, this nut would be useful as it is self-lubricating.
Here's G&L's description in their Options page:
Self-lubricating to reduce friction, allowing the string to travel more smoothly between the nut as tension changes due to string bends.
Hope this helps.

Thanks,

I am going with the ASAT classic S no Trem. So I'll just opt for the standard nut.
