I just realized.....

Post by guitar_ed »

On the saddle lock bridge (SLB) it appears as if the three mounting holes in the bridge plate are centered. They are NOT. They are offset, closer to the third string.

Was this the fruit of a painful trail and error lesson?

Hi JITB,

This realization came about as the result of ALMOST making a painful error. I noticed it before making holes to mount the bridge. On the other hand, the 2 other lap steels that I built have this problem in them. But it's not a big deal, not obvious.
