Asat Classic has a (new home)

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Asat Classic has a (new home)

Post by GentlemanJim »

Thanks to Eric his ASAT Classic has a new home.
Now that I've had a chance to play this baby, two things came to mind. Well actually three. What a great guitar, plays like butter, so pleased and what a great sound.

A replacement pickguard is in order and the second, has anybody ever used a vibramate.
I purchased a B5 for my tele last year, but never installed because I decided not to drill hole in a perfectly good guitar. The same applies to this ASAT Classic.
I have a subscription to Vintage Guitar Magazine and most always see and hear about the vibramate. Sweet thing you can take it off just like replacing a pickguard.

I think I just posted this in the wrong section. Navigating this forum, could be a little like playing guitar. Always learning, sorry........................

What say you............................

Tim that actually is a special ES295 thin line knockoff from Miami Vintage Guitar. Only a few were made and I was fortunate enough to get one. Prototype, with no manufacturer's marks or serial number. I had to replace the P-90's with real Gibson pups.
I don't know if they ever went in to production or if they were stop by Gibson.

Here's an old Nashville acquaintance of mine with a similar one. An added John Pearse style armrest.

Mine that was shipped with a Bigsby type I didn't want so I took it off and sent it back to MVG

I'd really really like to appreciate these guitars but the glowing banana yellow lighting blocks all the fun. :(
