Hi all, I have a 1989 ASAT Sig Guitar. Has anyone ever have any problems keeping the low E string in tune with the rest of the guitar. The guitar tech guy I know said it might have to do with pick up proximity problem.
Does this pickup need to be change out. Help peter john Email here if you can pamabile@tampabay.rr.comhttp://guitarsbyleo.com/FORUM/posting.php?mode=post&f=32#

Re: ASAT Sig Pickup Question
No need to swap out the pickup if it's just a tuning issue.
You could lower the Low E side of the pickup with the adjustment screws to see if that helps,
(if it's real close it can pull on the strings too much....I'm guessing it's something else though).
Has your intonation been set when you last changed strings?
It could be the nut slot is tight on the low E.
Pics are a plus !
(did I mention we like pictures? )
