Hi there,
simple request from a lost French fan :
Can I replace my stock pickguard by a loaded EMG DG20 pickguard with active pickups (I presume I will have to cut out the fender pickguard in order to fit with the fullcrum vibrato) .
Any feedback or experience on that kind of replacement?
Thx for your help!

I have the exact same question, down to the same pick-ups haha. I'll give you what help I can on pickguards:
-Stock Fender ones don't fit and the holes don't line up (I believe)
-Pickguard Heaven by Chandler Guitars makes all the replacement guards. They <censored word> suck on pricing and turnaround time though (basic color option, I got quoted for $70 with an estimated delivery of around 4-6 weeks...screw that).
-Greasy Groove used to be the go-to choice for pickguard replacements, but they are AWOL right now. Don't order anything, it won't be fulfilled by them.
-Warmoth can do pickguards but it'll be roughly $55 and take 2 weeks
Right now I'm looking into getting one cut locally, or doing it myself. G&L's are great guitars, but replacing their parts can be a total bitch.
