Hi. I have a 1996 (as far as I know) G&L Legacy. It has the G&L logo on the 3 single coils and the 3 bolt neck.
I notice that the volume and tone knobs don't seem to work the same way they do on a "typical" strat. I have another Legacy also from 1996 (as far as I know) with 3 single coils with no G&L logo on them and the 3 bolt neck and, on that guitar, the electronics work the same way as on a "typical" strat.
I still haven't figured out what's going on, but it almost seems like the bottom knob (closest to the output jack) has some kind of bass roll-off tone circuit on it or something like that. Or all three knobs are wired differently than I would've expected or something.
Still trying to figure out what's going on but thought I'd post this question to see if I can find out what I should be expecting.
I don't want to take off the pickguard just yet because I don't have time right now and the guitar was just set up. I will eventually of course.
Any ideas if there is some stock wiring option that sounds like what I'm describing?
Thanks.
LL

1992-present Legacy PTB Controls.
Also, see this post in our G&L Knowledgebase: Can you explain the PTB circuit?
Hope this helps.
