Hot Noiseless Pups -- Cap Change?

Post by proton60 »

Brand new to the forum, not new to G&L guitars....

Just got a new to me Legacy (Empress body), super sweet... Going for a more modern tone on this one, have installed Fender Hot Noiseless pickups.

Is there any way to change the cap values on the PTB system to brighten it up? The Noiseless are a bit on the dark side, even when set low.

Familiar with 'standard' tone cap values, but I believe they are different on the PTB system (.022 vs. .0022)

Any tips, suggestions, etc. appreciated.... Many Thanks

Once you get it dialed in, please post what changes you made.
