No, not at all. That is a rare one for sure but a very legit G&L at a good price. It is the third version of the Interceptor made back in the eighties when G&L was trying to compete with the super strats that the hair bands were thrashing. See the Rarebird section of this sites registry for more info. If you get a chance to play it they are fun to play and if it's in good condition it's worth that price. I am sure many others will chime into with additional information.

This is a Strat-style body Interceptor (1988 - 1991).
