I will bear the burden today I suppose. Lunch is in the pan right now, a Burrito with beans, rice, guac, salsa, and beef (lettuce was all out).
Lately I have been trying to organize my gear to take up less space, a shelf was added, I want to add some pegs to stand cases safely etc. What do you do to keep your gear area operating at maximum gear?
So people get paid to play video games nowadays, they call em 'E-sports'. I find this to be a ridiculous joke, but when you scrutinize closely, how different is it from professional sports. You are paying people who developed a skill, to play a game. The line I draw is that a real sport would require physical attributes that are pleasing, making most athletes embody a standard of fitness/something you should strive for. Besides, paying people to game, get real. What is your take?
G&L offers contouring on ASATs, rear contour official, and possibly front contour. For me the front contour is more important (that might change as I grow, and grow in age ) But I like a well formed guitar. What are your preferences for sexy curves on guitars?
Some may remember myself wanting to get an ASAT special in all ash without a pickguard, I have found a better solution . I am ordering the guitar probably at months end, so in a few months I might let yall see it. I am such a tease eh?
Cheers
Kyle

Ok beast of burden,
What do you do to keep your gear area operating at maximum gear?
Getting a Pedaltrain Pro board was the best thing I did to organize space. Other than that I try to only get one out of case at a time and keep extra cords off the floor.

Amen. They are called video "games" not video sports. This is another example of the US population's affinity with sitting on their behinds and calling it physical activity. Not exactly the sport of kings, eh?
What are your preferences for sexy curves on guitars?
Girls with sexy curves holding guitars is #1 for me, but I'm a regular ASAT guy so I'll stick with utlitarian bodies, no curves.
Send pics of your gitar when ya can.

Nothing special in the way of gear organization. I have a big closet in one room with one shelf and I just stick it all in there when not being used.
Video Games - Gotta confess I love WWII games in which I get to kill Nazis. Never really played much else.
Curvaceous Guitars - I likes my women curvy and my guitars with a slab body.

I am a strategy game player, however I am more opposed to the 'e-sports' factor not games themselves.zombywoof wrote:Nothing special in the way of gear organization. I have a big closet in one room with one shelf and I just stick it all in there when not being used.

Re: Open Mic LR August 11th
Kyle, thanks for stepping up today. It is hot here in Minnesota
Skipped lunch today but had a late afternoon snack(Buffalo Wings with Celery)with Ginny at Jakes, a local watering hole.
Gear Storage is an issue at times. Most of the guitars are on the walls but a few in the closet upstairs. I have about 30-35 cases stored on a platform near the ceiling along one side of the garage. I have formica countertops for the studio and I store several amps under there and some along the wall. I keep my cables and mics in a large DJ brief. It holds a lot and weighs more than I like but is very handy. It also hold tuners and my wireless for the guitars. Before I became organized gear storage was a sore spot with Ginny. The closets were full, all the beds had cases under them. It was a job to organize but worth it. I also have a file cabinet with a folder for each guitar containing all tags/paperwork and a number on the folder linking the guitar to a case on the rack. I also have a complete inventory on my computer and off site. So, if I croak unexpectedly, Ginny will be able to make some sense of this.
I am not into video games and very seldom watch TV and am a true guitar junkie. I just finished doing a checkup on my PRS and it is clean fun and certainly entertainment to keep me out of trouble. I also play every day which does wonders for relaxing.
Contours: I like them. I have the forearm contour on the Mahogany Blues Boy. I have some Teles with the belly cut and that is awesome. Both contours would be my choice. Why would a guy but an ASAT S with both contours instead of a Legacy. Good question, but I would. I have four Legacys but would prefer the Classic S with both cuts and hollow body. My MM John Petrucci is tapered on both sides with a deep elbow cut and is extremely comfy to play. The Parker Nitefly Southern is also very light with the right contours and very comfortable to play. Weight does make a difference to a dude like me reaching middle age! My story today-- Darwin
Her is more porn for those who are lusting.

Sounds like quite the stable, I live in an apartment so it is a constant battle for me. I recently took over the entirety of the office.
Much the same, after I spend a day doing whatever it is engineering grad students call life, I practice at least 1 hr, minimum daily practice is just exercises too. After that I can dink around and murder songs people used to love.I am not into video games and very seldom watch TV and am a true guitar junkie. I am tinkering with ordering an ASAT with both contours, mostly due to the body shape, can't get a legacy with the soapbars like the special. Not sure on the forearm contour, as although I am not normally a fan of binding it can help make them look quite sharp (body only, neck binding I do not like). I have heard nothing but good things about MM JP models. Parkers are another axe on my to try, possibly to own list, but they cost a bit more than a lot of them on it, so are down the line, and they are nice and light.Contours: I like them.
