Hello from Ohio!

Post by Abus »

Hi there..my name is Chris and I am searching for information about my G&L Legacy! I've owned it for nearly 10 years or so now, and even though I'm not much of a guitarist by any means, I enjoy playing it and love it's character. I picked it up without its original case or trem arm from Guitar Center in Tri-County (Cincinnati area). I really don't care what it's value is, but it has an unusual finish that I can't seem to find on any other Legacy's. I'm trying to figure out how to upload pics, but it is a 3 bolt neck, 3 single coils, rosewood fretboard, natural headstock, Sperzel tuners, and a beautiful blue/green metallic finish on the body with a 3 layer pearl white pickplate. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Chris

Hi Chris,

Welcome.

If you haven't seen http://guitarsbyleo.com/FORUM/viewtopic ... 32&t=10450 yet, this is a tutorial on posting pix.

For a little bit, G&L did a bowling ball swirl kind of paint job. Might that be what you have?

Let us see.

Thanks,

edg

Welcome, Chris! :greet:

The body finish sounds like it might be Emerald Blue Metallic, so please post some photos, so we can confirm the actual color.

Looking forward to seeing your Legacy.

Hello. I used to have a Comanche with a similar sounding finish, and it didn't show up on the G&L website. Links to a couple pictures should be below, although the 2nd one is harder to see.

Your Comanche is the green swirl finish.

Well, thanks. I had never heard of that, but according to (https://reverb.com/au/item/3169188-g-l- ... reen-swirl), that is also the so-called bowling ball finish, as was noted above.

See this post to learn more about the Swirl finishes: http://www.guitarsbyleo.com/FORUM/viewt ... 584#p81584.

Hope this helps.
