Very sad day, John Wetton of Uriah Heep, King Crimson and Asia died today due to complications of colon cancer.
I saw him with Uriah Heep and U.K. in late 70's when they opened for Jethro Tull and knew then he was a talented dude. Been a fan of King Crimson and Asia from all early days. Another good one gone. Based on his cause of death reminds me all over 50 need get colon checked.

Re: John Wetton RIP
Wow, another one gone. I didn't get very deep into his playing, but he was a bit of an influence on me early on.
+1 on the colon cancer screenings for any guys over 50 (or earlier with risk factors). Without regular screenings, the first symptoms may show up when it's too late.

Re: John Wetton RIP
tremendous loss - a modern musical icon.
UK's 1st record, and my introduction to Holdsworth, remains timeless and often listened to in my collection, after nearly 40 years.
ditto re: Asia's 1st record.
Goeff Downes' words are special, thx Sam for that link!
