Legacy RMC,different tone than regular legacy?

Post by diddly »

Just wondering if there is much (if any) difference between the regular legacy and the legacy rmc? With there being no pickguard and the pickups being mounted to the body in the rmc, there is obviously more wood than a regular legacy.Would this make it sound a little different or are they much the same? Also i presume its possible to swap out pickups with no issues in the rmc?I have a dimarzio im very fond of in the bridge, so will probably throw that in at some stage(or maybe not) so hopefully theres no issues swapping pickups.Cheers

You might check this post out: My question would be WHY do G&L's all have a Bathtub Route?.

Hope this helps some.

Hi Diddly,

To answer your tone question: Yes, there is a small difference in tone. So small that most people would never know. And by most, I am including guitar players.

So, don't fret over it.
