Bluesboy 90 neck pickup route

Post by Figaro »

Does the Asat Bluesboy 90 have a route just for a P90 pickup or does it have the larger route like the Classic S pickups route?

It looks like there is enough room to put a P90 pickup in the neck position of a Classic S?

The P-90 route just fits the pickup. Here's mine with the pickguard removed:

The P-90 cover is 1 3/8" x 3 11/32".

Here's a photo of a Classic 'S' body:

Hope this helps.

Thank you!

So will a P90 fit in the Classic S?

I have emailed a contact at the factory to get the width of the ASAT Classic 'S' neck/middle pu route and see if the G&L P-90 will fit.

Also, which version of the ASAT Classic 'S' model are you thinking of modding (MFD or Alnico)?

Stay tuned.

Probably MFD. Is there a difference in the route? Thank you.

Not in the route but there will need to be a change to the bridge pickup. See this in our Gallery: Album: ASAT Classic Bluesboy Picture Diagrams.
It applies to both the ASAT Classic Bluesboy and ASAT Classic Bluesboy 90 models.

Hope this helps.
