You will have to take off the neck to read the date stamped on the neck and or body to tell what year your Legacy is for certain.
The B prefix numbers were usually used on basses but some were applied to guitar plates and those were used on many early Legacys. I have a Legacy with a early bridge plate number, which should have been used on an F-100 or an early S-500 since these two models pre-date the Legacy's introduction in 1994.
G&L, taking a cue from Leo, doesn't waste anything, so they used up those 3-bolt neck plates.
You may find that your Legacy also has Japanese pots. This is disconcerting for many owners but rest assured that they are original.
