OK. I finally registered my G&Ls and I'm ready to start posting pictures! Here is my latest acquisition, and one of the few guitars that I have purchased new. I really like the combination of the ASAT body and the DFV bridge. And, of course, I love the large MFDs! This is my first G&L with the OLS body and the newer neck profile (1-11/16" nut width w/ 1-5/8" string spacing & 9.5" radius). It is very comfortable and the neck feels good: a nice middle ground between the vintage 80s necks and the 12" radius necks that used to be standard. This one has an alpine white finish, alder body & rosewood fretboard, which has a nice reddish tint to it. I am a sucker for a white guitar with a dark fretboard (I love the 30th anniversary models!) Enjoy!

Wow, that is beautiful! Not normally a fan of white, but that one really pops. Gorgeous contrast between the Rosewood and white. I do like the monochromic look of white pu, pg, and body. Bet sounds a great as it looks! Funny how there always seems to be a gorgeous guitar in a color that I'd normally not consider. Congratulations on that beauty! Cheers, Dan

Love it! What does it for me are the mfds plus the DF, not usual to see that combination. I have been tempted by SC2s for the same reason.

Hi Chris,
You have one beautiful ASAT!! The big MFD's with a DF are a fantastic mix. I have one and know what you have in your hands. Be sure an give more feedback as you play it.
Play loud and often!

That's inviting. The curves look really nice with white.
Nice choices.

Beautiful guitar Chris. I like the white on white look. Maybe have to look into that one day. The big MFDs are great. I don't have a T style with tremolo bridge so that too is on my list. Bet it sounds as good as it looks, congrats and enjoy.

Re: NGD: 2016 ASAT Special
Thanks, all!
I am really liking this guitar! I have long loved the large MFD pickups, but, until recently, only had the SC models. i got this one while working on a partscaster guitar, which is very similar. Over a year ago, I picked up a blonde ash Z3 body with the DFV cutout, and I spent a year looking for a neck. Eventually I found one of these (newer) ASAT necks and I am putting it together with a custom pickguard. I won't reveal the pickup configuration yet, but here is a peek at the bones:
Hoping to finish this over the holidays. Of course, I'll post pics when I finish.
Cheers,
Chris
