Neck width and radius of 2014 ASAT Classic Semi H Bluesboy

Hello,

I'm considering a used ASAT Classic Semi-Hollow Bluesboy from 2014. S/N: CLF53753.

I've read around and some have 9.5 radius, some 7.5 and some 12. Width seems to be 1 5/8?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

With that serial number, the build year would likely be around 2008 or 2009, see: Serial number significance.
For neck options, see: What are the USA neck size options, past and present?.
You might want to contact G&L Customer Support and ask if they can lookup that serial number and let you know the built year, the model and what neck it had when it was built.

Thanks, that is interesting on the year. The seller said that inside the neck joint there is a stamp that reads 'N 14.' I will call G&L support though to try and get more .
information.

You were correct Craig. I called and it was made Jan 2009. They didn't have good record keeping back then so they could not tell me the neck radius. Probably a default #1 with 12 inch radius. He did say is was 1 5/8 nut width.

The default neck for this model was the #2 (7.5" radius) until 2014 when it was changed to the #1 (12" radius).

Ah Ok! Good to know. Not a fan of 7.5.

Craig - I had the guy at this shop look at the neck and he measured with a radius tool. He said it looks compound 1-14. Doesn't sound right to me, unless you know if the G&L ever made compund radius necks or if they would as a custom build?

AFAIK G&L has not offered a compound radius neck as an option or done one as a custom build. I had asked Dave McLaren if they would consider offering them several years ago and
he said they have no plans for compound radius necks. Should they offer them in the future, I will definitely post about it in the Knowledgebase.
