I swapped it with a mate who bought it today and didn't like the feel of the neck and sound for his style. I gave him a Telecaster, he is happy, I am happy, but I think I got the better deal!
It's a cracker of a guitar, sounds great and feels great to me!
Looks fantastic as well.
He said it was an ASAT Special, it has the MFD pickups. solid body, with the saddle lock bridge (as per the images). He said it may be Leo era but from reading post on this forum and from learned friends i would have to take the neck off to be sure. Something I don't like doing, I will at some stage I guess. But for the post the serial number is G050949. - i'll register it next.
The bottom left corner is a reflection of my floorboards.

Yes, he is correct on the model name. The white pickup covers and chrome hardware would make it an ASAT Special. See: List of Regular Production ASAT-style guitars (USA), Album: 1992-93 Catalog and Album: 1993-94 Catalog. He said it was an ASAT Special, it has the MFD pickups. solid body, with the saddle lock bridge (as per the images). Tobacco Sunburst on Alder body.
It's a beauty!

Re: NGD - ASAT Special 199?
Thanks guys, I'm really happy with it.
Craig your information is much appreciated. Helps to fill in some knowledge gaps.
It's not a Leo era as they started the specials in 92. The body is alder and colour is tobacco burst.
Sounds great I'm really happy with it. I had my eye on a rampage but the seller is asking to much IMO and I don't think they are as versatile as the Asat?

That's a sweet ASAT. The production date would be sometime between '92 and '97.
