Morning Folks,
Lunch today will be veggie minestrone with homemade bread made with apple cider and almond butter.
It's not warm anymore..storm is on the way...I've been distracting myself with fun useless trivia from the
music spheres.
So...here's some questions that I hope will be entertaining to ponder.
Please make a guess...or tune in later and I'll spill the beans.
What is the first song in the movie Easy Rider?
What model car did Dale Hyatt use to deliver fender instruments in the 50's?
Who used motorcycle parts to fashion his prototype guitars?
What does Mike Nesmith and Joan Jett have in common?
(hints)
What was the backstage password at Woodstock?
Who used a knitting needle (his Mom's) to make a whammy bar for his first electric guitar?
Where is the city Armenia?
What should you not do on Thanksgiving?
If you have any obscure fun facts too add or ask...please do
I hope I wasted just enough of your time, if not ...check back often.
I'll post the answers later today if we still have power.
Keep on Truckin',
Elwood

" The Pusher " . That's all I got. ( My answer to the Easyrider question. )
My fun fact : There were only three toilets per 10000 people at Woodstock. Sounds like fun !
I think the worst of it is coming Saturday morning/afternoon storm wise.

Brian May (and his dad) used motorcycle parts to build The Red One. I think it was the springs in the vibrato.

Close, but it was Paul Bigsby that was casting his own chopper parts. The springs are sourced from the piston assembly.yowhatsshakin wrote:Brian May (and his dad) used motorcycle parts to build The Red One. I think it was the springs in the vibrato.

That leaves the Joan Jett/Nesmith connection...the clues are very telling.
The answer does have a G&L connection of sorts..

Re: Throwback Trivial Thursday Lunch Report
The answer is Red Rhodes; that is a picture of his van (and a red rhodes piano, though it was a different Mr. Rhodes that brought the electric piano idea to Leo before CBS took over. The Rhodes piano was born from the want to bring music to wounded soldiers , but a real piano was too cumbersome and heavy..pretty cool, huh?)Elwood wrote:

Can't say I remember that, but then I read that book probably close to 50 years ago.Elwood wrote: (does anyone remember that "The Little Prince" never forgot a question he asked ?
