Just bought Bluesboy and surprised to see nitro finishes

Post by johnnyqb »

I have played Bluesboys before, but one I played the other day at Dr. Woods Guitar Emporium in Fox River Grove, IL really spoke to me. It was simply a gorgeous player, in sound, feel, and look. I went back today and traded in my Legacy plus cash and took the Bluesboy home. I was surprised looking at the spec sheet to see that it has nitro 3-tone burst listed as the body finish and nitro vintage tint as the neck finish. What's up with that? Are nitro finishes standard now? I didn't see anything about this on the glguitars site. Thanks.

You've got to post a photo or two; otherwise it does not exist! ;)
And, don't forget to add it to the G&L Registry.

Regarding the current nitro finishes, see these posts: Any chance of the rustic series making a comeback? and What does "special production run" mean?.

Yes, the neck specs for this are 1-11/16 width, 1-5/8" string-spacing, 9'5" radius. I couldn't be happier with the neck or the guitar.
