The volume pot on my Comanche was starting to get a bit scratchy, so I figured it was time to take off the pick-guard and blow some contact cleaner into the pots. I had never taken the guard off before.
Look what I found inside! Anyone know what these writings mean?
Volume pot came up sweet! Silent and smooth now - just like the z-coils...
ps. Interesting to see such a big route in the body. Room for lot of pickups!

Looks like comm for Comanche (although there is only one M in Comanche). SB for sunburst. MP for maple. And, the number is probably the work order or invoice number.

This is standard, see: Which G&L guitar models have the body with a bathtub route?.comanche wrote:

Please do add your Comanche to our G&L Registry.

I was wondering about the routing, I had a 80's USA Strat routed like that. I don't think it makes much difference but I do like the individual pickup routes better. BTW I just got a used Comanche yesterday, so far it's pretty nice.
