Re: Who here plays a hard V?
The reason I'm asking is because there's one headed my way on August 27th. (Actually, that gorgeously stunning 2TSB USA Legacy with a maple board and deep V should be here pretty soon, but I'm not allowed to open it before my birthday.)
I've had problems in the past with a shallow, skinny C causing a hand cramp. My old '69 Tele is a fabulous guitar but its neck (which may have been sanded down a little before I got it) is quite shallow and has caused me to have "trigger finger" in the past. The modern C of my Tribute Legacy is excellent and causes me no issues, but I've really liked V and "soft V" necks that I've gotten to try out.
I know that the deep V is a beefy neck with a more pronounced V than some, and I'd just like to see what I can expect. All the online reviews I've seen of G&L's Deep V come from people who discover that they love it. Hoping I'll be in the same boat.

Got to try it out last night and it's the most comfortable neck I've ever played. Can't wait until Saturday.
