I think this ASAT is the one. What do you think?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

I really like this ASAT. I'm thinking the original price on this was around $1800? I like the binding on the front and back of the body and the matching headstock. Do you think $900 would be a great deal or a so-so deal on this? If any of you can offer up more about this model I'd appreciate it.

I can't help you on the price, but the seller indicates that the finish is RARE. This is not true, that color is a standard option color and there is no upcharge for it. He is correct about the double bound body and matching headstock, there is usually an upcharge
for those options. Also, G&L has been shipping deluxe cases with all their USA models since atleast April of this year and there is
no extra charge for the upgraded case. You might ask the seller when the guitar was first purchased or if he has the build date
located in the neck pocket of the body (which requires neck removal).

Hope this helps.

I found this model at Guitar Adoptions for about $1525: http://www.guitaradoptions.com/g-l-asat ... green.html

It does not include the matching headstock - I think G&L charges about $150 extra for this option.

$900 would be a good price in my opinion. I notice it's advertised as "no returns" - In guitars, I like to be able to return if I don't like... ;)

I am not a huge fan of that color, but when you add it to the headstock my opinion does a complete 180! I'd buy it in a heartbeat...
