NGD S500 Deluxe
Hello to all.....first post with a new to me 2014 S-500 Deluxe in trans orange. Was coming back with my family from Atlanta and stopped in the Montgomery GC. Guitar looks to be unplayed with zero fret wear. I will post pics soon.....pretty happy so far.

Congrats!
I recently added an S-500 as well. Between the MFDs and the PTB system I am finding it quite versatile.

So far the tweaking is going very smoothly. Raised the action, went to DR strings 11's, and gave a slight neck straightening. Then I set the intonation. I never use a trem so I blocked it from moving. I actually prefer a trem bridge to a fixed because I run out of saddle screw length if the bridge sits flat on the body. With a trem I can can just raise the whole bridge while keeping it level/parallel to the body. Once I have that set, I wedge something on both sides of the sustain block to prevent any movement. The S 500 has been very acceptng and not fighting the tweaks at all.......a good sign.
Intonation was easy....far easier than other guitars. I use a polytune clip on in the strobe mode. I did have to cut a bit of the spring on the low E saddle to get it back far enough, but it took no time to get it right. Guitar plays extremely well and I really like the output of these pickups. I especially appreciate it keeping its clarity when rolling back on the volume. No loss of high end, or muddy tones. I like things as simple as I can get it. Just guitar into amp, use the volume knob a lot, and never ever use a pick....lol Really glad I picked this one up.

Glad you two are getting on really well. You have a great guitar for the way you describe your playing.
And trans orange is just fantastic, beautiful, a great colour.
