ASAT Classic Semi-Hollow vs ASAT Special Semi-Hollow

Post by joseppi63 »

Can someone please tell me the difference between these two models? I've been going down the specs on the G&L website, and can't see anything that jumps out. The pickups look different, but in the text are both categorized as single coil MFD. I am working on a potential trade for a Special and am curious about the fair market value.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you!

They are both MFD pickups but the ASAT Special has soapbar MFDs.

The pickups in the classic will sound more like a traditional single coil than the the special.

You can find a much better description of the various pickups here: http://guitarsbyleo.com/FORUM/viewtopic.php?p=37
