New USA neck profile?
I've noticed a new neck profile, Modern Classic, on what appear to be newer USA G&L guitars. Both I've seen listed on the web are on the ASAT Classic Bluesboy. From the spec sheet: It has a 1 11/16" nut with a 9.5" radius. I can't find that in the chart of neck profiles on the G&L site. The closest that comes to that is the Wide C with a 1 11/16" nut, but the radius on a Wide C is 12". There is no profile on the chart with a 9.5" radius. Also the width of the Modern Classic is identical to the Slim C. Is this a new neck profile? Must be, huh? Or possibly an update of the Slim C?

Re: New USA neck profile?
Beginning in July 2015, the neck profiles were changed. Also, a new fretboard radius, 9.5", was added and the fretboard radius became a separate option.pjr114 wrote:I've noticed a new neck profile, Modern Classic, on what appear to be newer USA G&L guitars. See these posts in the G&L Knowledgebase: July 1, 2015-Feb 29, 2016 G&L U.S. Specifications & Options and March 1, 2016-present G&L U.S. Specifications and Options.
Modern Classic is different from Slim C. Look again at the nut widths for each in the neck profile chart.
Hope this helps.
