Custom orders on USA guitars

Post by joaopazguitar »

Hi guys,

It has been a month exactly since I got my S-500, non-USA mode. The excitement is still as day one - more, for sure. This is one incredible guitar, easily up to par with a couple of USA-made guitars I own. So that got me thinking how great must be an USA-made G&L.

I was looking at this page: http://www.glguitars.com/instruments/US ... guitar.asp

Does it mean I can order one USA-made S-500 combining any of these options?
Next question would be about shipping; since I'm in Portugal I guess I'd have to pay some heavy import costs ... or could I order one through a local distributor?

Which leads me to the next note... the link to the single one international distributor in my country is a broken link :problem:

Yes, if you are custom ordering a USA G&L you pick all the options (neck, color, finish, etc). You might try calling the distributor for your country to see if they can still help with a custom order. Otherwise, I believe there are several premier dealers in the USA that have experience shipping overseas.

It looks like the link on the G&L site for your distributor is wrong.
The correct link I believe should be http://www.tecnimusica.pt/

However, when I go to their site, I see no mention of G&L.
You may try contacting them.
