My "NEW" G&L Asat Classic Bluesboy

Post by Lu7s »

I own a Bluesboy Tribute since 2013 and really like it, so I could not skip the opportunity to purchase a USA made.
I dont know the history of this guitar but from what G&L told me it was probably some "artist" that made the dings.

I sent it to repair and it looks better, not perfect.

Here some photos...

Thanks Tom! It's the only birdseye neck I have, like it a lot. :D

The humbucker is a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover, I may replace it in the future.

I have replaced the humbucker with a Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queen P-90 on my Tribute, following the advise I got from here. Fenomenal change, I prefer the sound of Tribute at the moment... here is a photo of my other G&L

First post here! The touch up looks great! And that neck wood is ridiculous!

I have a bluesboy as well, and would never get rid of the Seth Lover. BUT, and it's capitalized because it's a big but, I am looking for a deal on a second one, or a deal on a factory P-90 bluesboy, because the way you have your tribute setup is pretty much my "dream guitar #2" :happy0065: Nothing like a p-90 with a little drit thrown on it!

Welcome fullertonbluesboy,

I will be keeping the Seth Lover on my USA BB for now, and I will try to learn more from this configuration.
The P-90 on the Tribute works great for me, this guitar already have been worked by my guitar tech, besides the instalation of the pickup, replaced the pots, wiring, jack and wiring, bone nut, fret dressing and pro setup.

It cost me a lot to do all the work, very close to the value of a made in US, but I do not regret a bit.
Fantastic guitar do way it is, the only problem would be if a decide to sell it one day (but that´s not going to happen).

Go for it with your "dream guitar #2" you will be amazed!
