The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.
AFAIK, the color called Ivory was introduced in 2009 as a custom only color for the Jerry Cantrell Signature Rampage. It was also used on the Custom Creations Jerry Cantrell "Blue Dress" Limited Edition
Rampage (2010-2011) and added to the Jerry Cantrell Signature SuperHawk in 2013.
How did you determine that this Legacy was built in 2004? Is there a date stamp in the neck pocket?
Please post the serial number and I will contact one of my contacts at G&L to see if I can get the history on your Legacy.
I'll see if I can find the serial number tomorrow. Since he has it pulled apart, maybe he can show us what if anything is marked in the pickup cavity.
The back of the pickguard will probably have a chandler number, that's not useful.
I suspect this was built, put into inventory then sold to a dealer. The information shown is:
LGCY-VINWHT-RW
LEGACY VINTAGE WHITE RW
MINT PAINTED NECK MINT COVERS
There is no further information in the system about it. As you know, sometimes things are done to check something out then the instrument finds a home.
The painted neck is something that gets a bit of tinkering here and there as it has for 30+ years.
The guitar was shipped to Music Centre Canada in Calgary on January 28, 2005.
