Hi,

With out pix, it's hard to say for sure, but it could be this: http://www.glguitars.com/instruments/US ... /index.asp

An ASAT Deluxe. And by triple sound, I assume you mean the body is bound top & bottom, and the fret board is bound.

Take care,

Close, Quilted instead of flamed, gloss neck instead of satin. Yes, body(top/bottom) and fretboard are all bound. plus the mini switch above the the 3 way selector.

Pictures would be helpful.

However, it does sound like an ASAT Deluxe with some options - the basic ASAT Deluxe is going to have a flame maple top and top binding. Neck binding is an option, as is binding around the bottom of the body (you lose the tummy cut with the option), and you can order a quilt top instead of the standard flame top.

Here's the G&L Option list on the website:

All I can say is Nice!

The bound ebony board is a beauty and I have no idea what the model is. Most likely a custom order.

enjoy,

Ok, I called G&L. It is a complete custom built guitar. It has "add-ons" not available through the website. It was built in August of 2005.

Did they indicate what exactly were the custom features? The guitar in your photo does look like a standard optioned ASAT Deluxe. Please post a photo of the
back of guitar. The standard ASAT Deluxe body wood is Mahogany.

Also, please to add your guitar to our G&L Registry.

It is a beauty!

I hope I do not sound arrogant by saying that I am just repeating What I was told. The thing that is odd is, the record on this guitar is incomplete. It is only listed as a "Trans blue with maple neck". and was made in August of 2005. G&L had no other information. When I discussed the mini switch and Ebony fretboard. His reaction was, "That is a complete custom order." That is all I know. I will post more pictures.

eli322,

Before 2011, G&L did not provide spec sheets yet. So the "incomplete" sounds as expected. The splitter switch comes standard on the Deluxe, most of the time as a toggle switch but maybe there are some out there with a push-pull pot.

Hope this helps,

Eli322, that is a beautiful ASAT Deluxe!

Here is a link to previous thread.

http://guitarsbyleo.com/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1931

Basically USA built G&Ls are built to order - ala carte to the available options for each specific model. There really aren't standard models. The big box stores may have a few specs that they order regularly, but I would say that is just how they chose to spec the guitar. From the picture it looks like everything was from the normal option menu. Either way you a very nice ASAT Deluxe.
