anybody know about this Z3 ??

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Eric,

Could be. Gold hardware was commonly used on NAMM guitars although it was an available option until about 2005. Here's a lunch report on the 2001 Winter NAMM ASAT Z-3 SH. It's the same guitar as referenced in thunder 100's post in the thread mentioned by geoff above.

Not unique, but still stunning. See: G&L Registry entries for Z-3 Semi-Hollow with Gold hardware

Gold hardware was a Dealer Price List option from 2001 to mid-2006.

Here's four of my gold hardware guitars:
Z3 Semi-Hollow without F-hole with gold hardware.
25th Anniversary with gold hardware. (One-off)
ASAT Classic Bluesboy Semi-Hollow without F-hole with gold hardware. (One-off)
All mahogany ASAT Special Semi-Hollow with F-hole and gold hardware

Nice group Craig!, The Gold option really worked well on some guitars. -- Darwin
