I want to swap the saddles on my '96 ASAT Classic from the stock aluminium ones to brass ones. Does anybody know if I can use vintage style 3-saddles rather than 6? I imagin it would require drilling holes in the bridge assembly - am I right? What about changing the bridge over to a Callaham made unit - would the holes line up?
Thanks
I have checked the G&L online store and would happily purchase the saddles from them but they want $105 for shipping!!!!

The new saddles will fit easily. You can retro-fit a standard 3 saddle bridge. I have installed a lefty 6 saddle G&L on a Zion Tele because I preferred the 6 saddle intonation to both the original Mann bridge and a replacement Fender 3 saddle.

Excellent, I've ordered a Glendale bridge and saddles. Can't wait to get them - I'm replacing th e stock pickups with a set of Don Mare Don-O-Casters, it's going to be a completely different guitar!
