I know that these beautiful green flake models came in 5 different versions, 2 ASATs, 2 basses, and the Legacy. Does anyone know if there were a limited specific number of each, as in a limited run? Thanks.

Re: 35th Anniversary models
For the 30th as well as 35th Anniversary Editions, G&L does not specify a limited number. They are/were just available for a limited amount of time. G&L seems to have done away with this concept for the largest part. Even for the Savannah LE, there was not a specific number for each instrument but rather a total number (250 in that case) of all instruments combined. Gives them the freedom to make or less of a particular model depending on demand.guitar1580 wrote:I know that these beautiful green flake models came in 5 different versions, 2 ASATs, 2 basses, and the Legacy. The 35th Anniversary Collection was announced on September 1, 2015 and dealer orders were accepted through December 4, 2015.yowhatsshakin wrote:For the 30th as well as 35th Anniversary Editions, G&L does not specify a limited number. See: Production List of G&L Instruments (USA) and List of Special Edition & Non-Production ASAT-style guitars.
Hope this helps.

Re: 35th Anniversary models
Thanks very much guys. That does help a lot. When I read your thread from Sept, I was surprised at the negative comments. The one I'm eyeballing in the local store is beautiful, and priced a little less than a comparable standard model. It has the tolex case, spec sheet, and COA. Being a limited run, I would think these would hold their value for resale pretty well ... although I think if I'd get one, it would not get resold.
Also, I'm wondering if that color is exclusive to the Anniversary model. When I was looking at the "guitar builder" specs that I found through the forum here, I saw the emerald green in "metallic", but in "metal flake" I only see a regular brighter green. The emerald on the Anniv. is actually metal flake, and is pretty stunning in person.
Does Mrs. Fender sign the COA personally or are they stamped?

The 35th Anniversary finish is "Emerald Green Metallic" and it is a standard finish.guitar1580 wrote:Thanks very much guys. That does help a lot. Here's a 35th Anniversary Collection Legacy. CLF075205 is going to G&L Premier Dealer Performance Music Center in Woburn, Massachusetts.
Here's an ASAT Classic in Green Metal Flake, 3-ply black guard, maple neck with Clear Satin finish.

Metallic has smaller metal particles vs. Metal Flake with the larger metal particles.
Hope this helps.

But Mrs Fender has personally signed a number of instruments: The Phyllis Model "Blondie". Beyond that, she signed the 100 copies of the book "Leo and Me - My eleven years with guitar maker Leo Fender" that came with the 50 C.L.F. Centennial ASAT and 50 C.L.F. Centennial L-2000.

Re: 35th Anniversary models
Thanks guys. That does clear things up about the finish, as well as the COA. I was thinking it was metal flake, but it is metallic. Their finishes are really nice. For metallic, there sure is a lot of sparkle. So I just got back from the local shop where I was checking out the anniversary. I decided against the green anniversary... but, I sprung for a custom order. My friend, who is a Premier G&L dealer got on the phone with California, and got some questions answered, and it turns out a custom order to my specs is only going to cost slightly more, so we'e going for it. Now the wait begins. I'll detail it in another thread here in a bit, for those interested.
So, just wondering, do some of you guys here work for G&L, or just have connections? You guys are definitely quick to reply with good and accurate information, and I want to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH ! I greatly appreciate it.
