Trying to install overwound single coil in ASAT Classic

Post by brennanloveless »

This is my first time trying to install a pickup that requires cutting a piece of the wood out. i'm nervous doing this but i really want to install the overwound MFD single coil in my ASAT. any tips? also, i have a pickguard that "almost" fits the pickup, but it looks like i'm going to have to shave it down a little bit. the screws are supposed to show through the pickguard right? Help?!

Not clear what your plan is here. What pickup is going in what guitar? The standard ASAT pickups require a rout of a particular size and depth. Are you putting one of those in an AC neck position?
