Hi all,
I am new to the forum.
I need a bit of advice. I just received my S500 tribute and the A string is buzzing when fretted between the 3rd and the 7th. I raised the saddle, to a point the A string was sticking out, but the buzzing did not go away. I have no experience of setting up electrical guitars. I measured the gap between the string and the 1st fret and it is in line with the owner's manual.
I am not sure it is part of the warranty. I know I need a proper tool but i'll check the frets height with a metal ruler for a start. The guitar arrived sat 5th. Do I need to replace the string, given it should be new? Do I need to have a look at the neck straightness?
Could you please give me some pointers?
Thanks

That ruler test is a good start. A couple of frets might nor be seated well in that area. Otherwise, a slight increase of the back bow might help too. For that you'd have to lose the truss rod nut maybe no more than a quarter turn. Also here that ruler will be of help.
