I am interested in getting a G&L ASAT Classic 'S' Alnico or a Fender American Vintage '52, but have a question (I haven't found one to see in-person locally so that's why I am asking online): What is the finish on the back of the neck–satin or gloss? I really don't like Satin-finish necks. The good news (for me) about the Fender AV52 is that it has a gloss neck, but it the U-profile which I find just a bit chunky. I was hoping the G&L might be a good alternative, but I am not sure?
Thanks,
Scott

The standard neck finish on most models (including the ASAT Classic 'S' Alnico) is Clear Satin. However, you can order Clear or tinted Gloss finishes as an option.skchurch wrote:I am interested in getting a G&L ASAT Classic 'S' Alnico or a Fender American Vintage '52, but have a question (I haven't found one to see in-person locally so that's why I am asking online): What is the finish on the back of the neck–satin or gloss? For complete current specifications and options, see: July 1, 2015-present G&L U.S. Specifications and Options.
Also, check out the various G&L neck profile and fretboard radius options available, too.
Hope this helps.
