Early George Fullerton models.

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Did any early 95/96 models of the G&L George Fullerton models come with locking tuners and pearloid pickguards ?

My guess would be: no. the whole idea of the GF Signature was to make it close to George's '54 Stratocaster in look and feel.

But given that even in those days many customizations were available, one could have specified a pearloid pickguard. And locking tuners were available; my '96 Legacy Special has Sperzels.

Check the G&L Registry. You will find several examples with pearloid pickguards. I do see one example with Locking tuners, but that may have been
done aftermarket.

Here's a Registry search link: http://www.guitarsbyleo.com/AUTOREG/int ... nter_fmt=1

The GF Signature model was available with standard and premium finishes, so it is likely that you could have ordered any one of the optional pickguards, too.
BTW, the production dates for this model are 1995 - 2007. so I relocated your post into the proper sub-forum.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Criag, I did check the registry and everywhere else I could think of and there are some with the pearloid pickguards. The one I have coming is a blueburst. The guy I bought it from said he had had 3 of them and his all had the pearloid pickguard. He also said he bought this off from a one owner and he said it was never altered. Its in brand new condition and it is suppose to be a 96.

Ya, I am use to talking about the 80's G&L lately more than the newer ones so I completely didn't think about it when I posted in the wrong place...............thanks Craig.
