question about serial Asat USA Deluxe

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

question about serial Asat USA Deluxe

Post by Vaneigens »

Hello, I'm new here. Sorry if this is in the wrong topic. After all those years playing Les Paul styled models I'm up for something new. About to close a deal for a Asat USA Deluxe.

On Google I can't find the exact same picture of this guitar.
The owner told me he got it through a trade and most likely the guitar should be bought this year.
However, the online information about G&L guitars make me think it's older.

Serial: CLF40448

Anyone here can tell me bit more? Thanks.

Your guitar has to have been made prior to February 2011 when they went to 6 digit serial numbers and started putting them on metal plates.

I'm guessing from the dark gun oil tint that it is from the mid '00s. Hard to tell from the photo but it also doesn't look like a bi cut neck, which would make it post 2006 or so.

Indeed. That's why I know it's older than 2011. But maybe someone knows more when seeing the coil splitter, color or logo on the headstock. At this moment I can only find 1 You Tube video with exact the same guitar.
