Jack Pearsons ASAT Deluxe

Post by pablomago »

I saw this video on youtube and went looking for the guitar and couldn't find it. Unlike the current ASAT Deluxe it has covered pickups and the blade switch is in a different position. Is it an older model?

It would be great to attribute his tone to that guitar, but his regular gigging guitar is a stock Fender Squire. I'm afraid he sounds good on anything he plays. A real cool guitar, though.

No, I'm not buying one. I just noticed the differences between the current ASAT Deluxe and Jack's and was curious about it. I just bought an ASAT Tribute Carve Top and that broke the gear budget for now.

Jack is my current guitar hero after getting the Gregg Allman "All My Friends" DVD. Jack and Chuck Levell are the MVP's in that show. If you haven't seen it, go out and get it. I'm not crazy about a few of the "country" singers involved (my bias, you might love them), but most of the acts are amazing, my favorite being Sam Moore (Sam & Dave).

...and don't forget Audley Freed. He's one of my all time favorites...
