legacy PRE-M
I bought a G&L legacy at a pawn shop about a year ago and I have been trying to get more info on the guitar with not much luck. I can find similar models but not the same finish. I emailed G&L and they couldn't tell me much about it. I changed the strings on it today and while doing so I got curious and took the pickguard off and found a bar code and under it there was a serial number and it says legacy PRE-M. Hopefully someone can help with this if you need more info let me know. Thanks

Assuming you have a mobile phone with a web browser and camera, you should be able to upload your camera photos to a photo server.Trey wrote:Do you know how I can on mobile I don't have a computer
See: Tutorial: Posting photos.
What is the serial number of your Legacy?
Hope this helps.

There's a number on the back of the headstock I'm assuming it's the serial number its 04024270. The number under the bar code is 7568-0402-022-1-52-2

The serial number indicates the model is a Tribute Series Legacy. It was built in Feb. 2004 and was made in Korea.Trey wrote:There's a number on the back of the headstock I'm assuming it's the serial number its 04024270. The number under the bar code is 7568-0402-022-1-52-2
The available body color finishes were: Black, Candy Apple Red, Blue Violet Metallic, 3-Tone Sunburst, Natural Gloss, Cherryburst, Amber, and Blueburst.
Looking forward to seeing your Legacy.

Here's a couple of your photos:Trey wrote:I put picture on the gallery I think mine may be the Amber or natural gloss
The PRE-M stands for "Premium" Finish and the finish is Amber on a Swamp Ash body.
See this post in our G&L Knowledgebase: What is the new Tribute series which G&L announced in 2003?.
Hope this helps.
And don't forget to add your Tribute Legacy to our G&L Registry.
