Custom ASAT Classic
Do you think G&L would build me an ASAT Classic, albeit with a saddle lock bridge. I'm not sure if this would require a new CNC program or not, but I would certainly order one if it was a possibility.

Re: Custom ASAT Classic
You wouldn't be alone, its come up here before a couple of times . It was suggested that one of the reasons they wouldn't do it is because the bridge plate on the regular ASAT Classic 'ashtray' bridge has a lot to do with the characteristic sound of the ASAT Classic. While this is true, I still think it'd be really nice addition to the lineup, maybe as a special run.

Another way to look at it would be an ASAT Special with G&L Magnetic Field Design Tele style single coil pickups. As blarg mentioned, it's been asked before and the answer has been no.Encinitastubes wrote:Do you think G&L would build me an ASAT Classic, albeit with a saddle lock bridge. Perhaps you might contact a G&L dealer and see if they would be interested in sponsering a small special run (10 or more). I've often thought that an ASAT Special with an AC neck pickup with the MFD
Jumbo single coil bridge pickup might be an interesting combination.
