G&L in online Guitar Player

Post by sam »

Just got the online Guitar Player post for the day and to my surprise they have a article titled

"5 Fascinating Facts About Leo Fender and G&L Guitars"

http://www.guitarplayer.com/gear/1012/5 ... tars/53075

It is just a short overview of Leo Fender and George Fullerton, the shop and Leo's office, but it does mention that "G&L is a custom shop and "players can make "their" G&L truly their own".

Always good to see good press on G&L and deserved praise for Leo Fender! :happy0065:

thanks, Sam! that's cool, I signed up for the G&L tour online.
I'm surprised Mike Molenda, the ed. in chief, covered that. Haven't heard him say boo about G&L guitars before.

Hey drjho7,

You bet! I signed up as well. Maybe Mike Molenda is coming around. :shocked003: I've had a Guitar Player subscription for years, and the daily post is pretty good for a quick read and occasionally some interesting new stuff. We'll see what treats are shown on the tour, I look forward to hearing what Jake Cinninger has to say and maybe Steve Grom will give us a new surprise.

Sam,

Steve Grom left G&L a couple of years ago and now is director of operations at ESP guitars. Paul Gagon is more than ever the face of G&L. And that is not a bad choice at all! I believe Spencer Brown is the shop foreman and running the Custom Creations Department; I have several instruments where his name appears on a neck heel or in a pocket.

I'd read a few months back that Paul Gagon isn't over there anymore - did that change?

Thanks for sharing Sam, it is nice to see G&L get some attention. But not TOO much attention.

Do they have the vids of the tour or the interviews posted anywhere? I can't seem to locate them on the store website.
