How about an L-2600 bass?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

How about an L-2600 bass?

Post by JamminOnBass »

Does anyone know if G&L will ever make a 6-string bass? I have a Tribute L-2500, but I would perfer a 6-string version. Why no love for us 6-string bassist yet?

I'm sure there are multiple reasons, but the biggies are probably going to be market segment (it's really pretty darned small) and the fact that G&L is a very traditional builder closely tied to "WWLD?"

Sorry, but I just don't think we'll see six string basses from G&L any time soon.

You can get pretty close with a D tuner and stringing a 5 E-C though, lose a whopping 2 notes. Once I get a second 5 one of them will be set like that, I don't see myself needing both B and C at the same time so don't find much use in 6's
