Pots on ASAT Classic, audio or linear taper?

Post by Encinitastubes »

I recall that the stock pots on my 2000 ASAT Classic were linear taper. I have two later model ones now and believe they are audio. Anyone's?

AFAIK, the pots have always been audio taper.

See: ASAT (all 2 single coil pickup models)- schematic block diagram.

Are you sure your 2000 AC has factory stock pots?

Hope this helps.

Yes. Bought new from Buffalo Brothers in 2000. However, I changed the a long time ago so I could be wrong. The sweep was very even and gradual. I wanted a more pronounced sweep so I could do the Roy Buchanan tone swells. The schematic that you posted was drawn by Paul Gagon. Didn't he start with G&L more recently?
