Recently discovered G&L Guitars but now prices are rising?

The place to discuss, post photos, video, and audio of the G&L products (US instruments, stomp boxes, etc.) produced after 1991, including the amps & gear we use with them.

Recently discovered G&L Guitars but now prices are rising?

Post by JoeyAsh »

I am a recent addition to the G&L addicts club. I got my first one a few months back and don't even touch any of my other guitars anymore. I really want to add to my arsenal of guitars but now I hear that G&L prices are increasing dramatically as of July 1, 2015.

Anybody else hear anything about this? I want to spec my next guitar out but part of the beauty of the G&L brand is that they are still made in the USA and they are still relatively affordable. I would hope that they aren't going to price themselves so only the wealthy musicians can afford them.

I get that. My point was just that the cool thing about G&L is that they are an AFFORDABLE American made guitar. They definitely aren't cheap since not everybody can drop $1300 and up for an axe but as far as value for your money, G&L has no competition. I would hate to see them inch toward the prices of Fender, Gibson, etc. I will continue to buy them since I can't imagine not playing one since I've purchased mine but maybe instead of 2 a year I will only be able to afford one if their prices move up too much.
