Greetings from Los Angeles area
Hi. I've been lurking for a while, so I thought I would join. I'm a G&L fan, owning and playing a bunch of these gems! I have experimented with Legacys and ASATs, but these days my favorites are the SC series, both the originals and reissues. I also have a couple G&L basses. Looking forward to exchanges with this group. I can also be found with the same username on the Boogie Board (I'm a Boogie amp fan) and at the TheGearPage. Cheers!

KF,
Yeah, I'm pretty close. And I grew up in Fullerton, even closer...
I figured you guys would be asking for pics...I'll have to take some and post them.

Welcome !! .... I'm registered on the Boogie Board too and I have a MK V but don't post any just mainly lurk , I do have a new SC 2 , Fallout and LE 2 so I like the shape and weight , don't have any Leo era SC's , about pulled the trigger a couple times on a Leo era SC2 but here lately I prefer the 12 radius of the new over the radius on the older models

Hey, fumble fingers! I like the Mark amps too, but still use the Mark I or III.
How do you like that LE-2? How does it compare to the SC-2 reissue?

Re: Greetings from Los Angeles area
I like the LE 2 and the smaller head stock , even though it shares the same neck pup , they sound totally different , the F100 bridge pup is real nice on the LE , my Broadcaster sounds different than my new SC2 too for similar PU's ..... what I like better on the new ones over the older ones is the 12 radius and the medium jumbo frets .... all my Leo era guitars have been converted to SS med jumbo frets except the Bcaster , it didn't get Stainless frets as I was worried about changing the sound of the Bcaster but it did get medium jumbo's , just not SS
I'm still learning the MK V and haven't gigged it yet , at this point I'm still using Carvin's little micro V3m at giggs

Thanks, fumble fingers. How would you describe the impact to the sound by using stainless steel frets? I have never tried them. That is a pricey option on the LE-2!

Re: Greetings from Los Angeles area
my LE2 is standard G&L fret ..... my replacement neck for my Comanche is SS from G&L , my 1997 S500 , 86 Rampage and 84 Cavalier were all re-fretted SS and Broadcaster regular frets by Mark's Fret Repair out of my local G&L dealer Centerville Music , as for sound it seems to have a little more "ring/ting" to it than the nickel ..... for refret Mark's frets look beautiful like a factory G&L , highly recommend him , SS only cost 10.00 more than Nickel frets
