Well said, Tim. I've lifted my share of licks from BB.

Long ago I saw Mr. King and Bobby Blue Bland. I was a kid in 1978 and Mr. King was inspiring. This was in a very small venue and it was wonderful.
Thanks Tim for the G&l Bluesboy. A guitar that that let's you do your best B.B. King all night long.

Tim, that is great story on the naming of the Bluesboy. And isn't it true you had it originally as 2 (camel-cased) words too?Tim GuitarsOnTheWeb wrote:Not many know that the "B.B." stood for Bluesboy.
Wow, that must have been something. I think in '80, I borrowed "Now Appearing (Live at the Ole Miss)" from a friend which was my introduction to B.B. I had to laugh this weekend when I read the review on AllMusic that this was "the most anemic live album" released by Mr. King whereas it has meant so much to me.y2kc wrote:Long ago I saw Mr. King and Bobby Blue Bland. His music, his tone, his sharp stabs of notes, as well as his stories and banter during live performances, will be missed.
